Natural Lavender Dryer Satchels
The other day I was in the grocery store, and I saw these dryer bags. Immediately I wanted to buy them for my own home as regular dryer sheets are filled with harsh chemicals. Not really inspecting them too closely, I threw them into my cart. Each box contains 4 bags and it says you can use each bag for 5-10 loads of laundry.
When I got home, I pulled out one of the bags. I then realized that they are simply just bags filled with dried lavender buds, and for a much cheaper price point I could make my own!
First, order your lavender buds
(Our 1 LB bag is about 11 cups of lavender. If you filled each bag with ~ 1/4 cup of buds you could make about 44 bags.)
Pick up some organza bags
Order your bags, fill them with your lavender and you've got yourself all natural dryer sheets. After a few loads, simply empty your bag and fill with new lavender. As for the old lavender buds, don't just throw them away. Keep them to sprinkle on your carpet before vacuuming to give your carpet a boost of freshness as well.
