Homemade Fairy Homes
I was scrolling through Pinterest today and I happened to scroll past these absolutely adorable DIY fairy homes on A Little Fur in the Paint Blogspot!
Being a lover of all things fairy, I just had to know how she had made them.
To my surprise, they’re made from gourds!
I couldn’t believe it!
How talented is the woman who makes these? I love the bright color schemes that she uses and the whimsical feeling that the gourds unique shapes give them. No gourd is the same shape, color, or style and these little homes so wonderfully capture that!
She has a wonderful step by step tutorial on how she makes them here if you want an more in-depth version.
She makes the roof “shingles” from pine cones –
And then uses model clay to create the windows, doors, flowers etc..
These fairy homes would be such a fun project to do with your daughter, nieces or granddaughters (I bet even some of the boys will want to join in and help)
The possibilities really are only as limited as your imagination.
